This family covers the rookie-autograph and rookie-variant branches that sit beside or beyond the classic autograph-memorabilia lane. It becomes especially important in later Exquisite years where the rookie story is tiered rather than handled through one uniform format.

This family matters because it explains why the late-run rookie pages cannot be treated exactly like the earlier headline-patch eras.

Once the 112-card checklist is laid out, 2007-08 clearly has a layered rookie ladder: nine autograph-only /99 cards and six non-autograph /99 variants sit underneath the autograph-memorabilia headliner tier. That extra structure is part of what makes the year feel authored rather than simply Durant-driven.
